Enjoying Some Sunlight (Open)

Specklecloud had slipped out of camp quite some time ago, and she had been wandering aimlessly, lost in her thoughts, until she reached the Fallen Stones. The old stones always offered warmth, and almost seemed to be an escape from reality at times, which is just what the pregnant she-cat needed right now.

The patched she-cat curled her calico tail around her paws, and for a moment, felt truly at peace with herself. But paw steps soon ruined her peace, and she found herself sighing as she opened her eyes. "What, did Ebonystar send someone to follow the new Queen?" She asked somewhat sarcastically, looking at her somewhat swollen belly. To think, her as a mother. Scary thoughts for anyone, especially herself. Whoever this follower was, they were definitely in for a treat.

The tom shot his paw up in the air and cursed under his breath. His head crouched down and ears fell to his head "No miss Specklecloud .. its just me Ashenpaw .. s-sorry I know I'm not suppose to be out of camp but I saw you leave and I got concerned." he mewled as he blinked his yellow eyes looking straight at her and frowned. He knew he was in trouble now and big trouble at that he was breaking a rule. He sighed and shook his head backing up.

"Please don't tell Ebonystar .. I don't want to get in trouble." he mewled.

Specklecloud blinked as the apprentice spoke. His words faded as her own thoughts began to fill her mind. 'Oh my Moonclan, one day my children will be his age, and act like him, and break rules..' She tensed up at the thought, but forced herself to go back to reality, where Ashenpaw was currently asking her not to tell Ebonystar.

She rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Technically I shouldn't be out alone, either. So for now, for the concern of anyone but us, I invited you to guard me while I took a walk." She said sweetly, smiling as she rested her head back on the warm, smooth rock beneath her body.

But she couldn't just ignore him. With a small sigh she cleared her throat. "So, how's training going? Learn any cool fighting moves?" She asked, trying to sound like she truly cared. This was great practice for when her own little bundles of joy were apprentices, running around learning to be warriors.

Noticing her kind of drift off into her own world, he tilted his head in confusion but continued begging anyway. Shaking his head he looked at her with his ears pinned to his skull and then, they perked up and he grinned "Thank you Miss Specklecloud thank you." he said and then looked at her, seeing he wanted to relax, he tilted his head "Would you like for me to go catch a meal?" he asked to give her some alone time, that was until she asked how training was going.

"In a way I'm training myself why my mentor is busy, otherwise its going great." he purred and shook his head "I haven't started battle yet, that's later on." he said.

Specklecloud cringed as the tom called her Miss. She hated the terms Miss and Mister, for they sounded far too sarcastic and beyond the Clans' customs. But she wouldn't say anything. Why perfect a seemingly perfect conversation? She rolled onto her back and shook her head. "No, no, I'm not hungry. But thank you for the offer." She said politely, listening afterwards as he described his training life. Poor thing, he'd need a better mentor soon enough. "I'm sure Ebonystar is working on getting you a new mentor." She said calmly, watching the clouds float around. "For now I'd suggest enjoying your time without chores and waking up early. Because I'm sure once you get a mentor you'll be swamped with work."

Grinning, the tom slashed his tail "Your silly Specklecloud you know that? You know your my mentor! Your just ya unable to train right now because your bringing little you's to join us in the clan." he said with a grin as he flicked at her stomach with his tail. He then lay down beside the stone that was next to her. Shutting his eyes, he looked up at her "Huh? I never thought about that I still do my daily chores and wake up at the butt crack of dawn." he said with a grin.
